One of the best things about Barcelona is that you get it all: city life, beaches and mountains with beautiful views! Here are some places you must visit if you want to experience Barcelona from above!

 

 

Tibidabo

Tibidabo is over 500 meters high and at the top of the mountain there is a church, an amusement park and several great restaurants, one of them is Mirablau. Go there with someone you like, perhaps on a first date. Standing on top of a mountain with a view so beautiful it will leave you breathless will really set a romantic mood to the date. Seeing the whole city stretch out at your feet with the most astonishing view will make anyone fall in love.

Price
Entering the amusement park is free, but you have to buy tickets (about 30 euro) for the rides.

Food & drinks
There is a lot of restaurants and cafés on this mountain, along with supermarkets.

Atmosphere
It is not very crowded and you can easily find quite a few spots to be alone with your company.

By bus (T2A from Plaça Catalunya).

Parc Güell

If Antonio Gaudí is one of the first things you think about when you hear Barcelona, you really have to visit Parc Güell! This stunning and colorful park will turn any frown upside down! Take your family there for a few hours of breathtaking views and magical surroundings.

Price
If you want to access all of the park you have to pay approximately 7 euro for the entrance.

Food & drinks
In the park you will find restaurants so you don’t have to worry that you might be walking around thirsty or hungry, note however that they are quite pricey.

Atmosphere
There is often a lot of people, and don’t be ashamed to bring your selfie stick, because every single person has one here. There is a lot of tourists, always.

By bus (24 from Plaça Catalunya).

Montjuїc

Montjuїc doesn’t only have a great view over both Barcelona and the Mediterranean Sea, there is also green grass, lots of benches, palm trees and lovely fountains. Go there by yourself, to truly feel the peace and quite this nature gem offers.

Price
If you want to enter the museums or the castle or go there by teleférico it will cost about 10-12 euro.
Everything else at this beautiful place is free.

Food & drinks
In the summer there is places to buy food and drinks, but we recommend bringing water anyway.

Atmosphere
Not very crowded, even during the busiest months of the year. Montjuїc is very calm, quiet and spacious.

Easiest way to get there
By bus (55 from Plaça Catalunya) or metro (L2 from Passeig de Gràcia/Universitat to Paralel).

Most fun way to get there
The teleférico!

Bunkers del Carmel (Turó de la Rovira)

The Bunkers del Carmel means spectacular 360º panoramic, bird’s eye view of Barcelona. Go there with your best friends, bring blankets, snacks and cava (there is no place to buy drinks or food there) and stay up all night. Then watch the remarkable sunrise over the entire city and sea.

Free.

Food & drinks
No. Bring anything you want to eat or drink, because here you will find no supermarkets, restaurants or kiosks.

Atmosphere
Peaceful, quiet and breathtaking. During summer evenings many couple and friends go to the bunkers to play guitar, have a beer and watch the view, but the atmosphere is always friendly and peaceful. Not many tourists come here which is just one of the reasons it made it on beautiful views list.

Montserrat’s beautiful views

The mountain of Montserrat is a breathtaking place with a view so unique it is worth leaving Barcelona city for! Go there with people you have fun with (and can stand being around for an entire day without fights or disputes) to enjoy a whole day of natures amazing surroundings.

Food & drinks
You will find many restaurants and supermarkets here.

Atmosphere
It is easy to get away from the crowd and enjoy the beautiful views without getting selfie sticks in your face.

Easiest way to get there
By train (R5 from Plaça d’Espanya, which takes approximately 90 minutes and costs approximately 22 euro).
